Hey Guys!
I want to haul some MAC eyeshadows and I made a list, but can't decide on what to get. I'm aiming for buying around 8 new eyeshadows, but I can't seem to decide on which ones to get at the moment... what would you recommend?

Goldmine
Romp
Patina
Embark
Shadowy Lady
Plumage
Typographic
Print
Scene
Brule
Club
Twinks
Mulch
Smut

PLEASE HELP ME CHOOSE BETWEEN 8-10! :D I'm for sure getting Goldmine, Brule, and Smut...

  8. romp, patina,scene- ABSOLUTELY. romp is so pretty, and doesnt have this awful red undertone like sable or satin taupe. patina is just different than any other color. scene- i use it every single day to linemy eye or in the crease. its lovely, although looks so boring in the pan.
    have great e/s shopping, cheryl!

  10. ooo im jealous of your haulage! post picks when you get the shadows :)

you have to buy patina... its absolutely gorgeous. I was a bit skeptical because it doesn't look like much in the pan - a standard sheeny mid tone brown/ taupe but when you watch it, it has the most beautiful undertones of pink and gold shimmer (fine milled). I wear it all over the lid or in the crease for a barely there day look.

Embark is a colour i use everyday pretty much. it is a matte warm dark brown and is perfect in the crease (with patina on the lid).

  11. I think I'm going to be the odd one out and say get brighter colours!

Most of those colours are neutrals and dupeable by MANY brands, I'd say if you're going to buy eyeshadows go for bright colours where you can't get good pigmentation or colour selection anywhere else.

  12. I'm purchasing Twinks or Mulch next! Such great colors. I have Embark, Shadowy Lady, Smut & Patina and they're all good colors. Embark & Smut are probably my favorites out of those 4.

  17. ok, Brulé is a must have.
I think Twinks and embark are great colours too. They will look amazing on your tanned skin. I really love Embark as a crease-colour. It is so versitile!

  18. It's a tough choice. I use Print and Brule on a regular basis and I love them. I vote: Print, Brule, Twinks, and Patina.

    Typographic

  20. Hey doll! I have been meaning to get some new MAC shadows too, as I myself barely have any- only a few I have swapped for. HOWEVER, I def. recommend getting the following:

Brownscript- (my opinion the perfect redish toned brown!)

Rule- don't personally own this one but have been dying to get it!

Somoa Silk- perfect everyday main lid color. This goes on pretty lightly but is def. brighter/more pigment when wet-wonderful peachy shade.

Mystery- never tried this but again have heard it is fabulous!

Soft Brown (not sure if you own it) but I have been wanting to get this, as everyone uses it as the "blending" shade for harsh lines when doing a smokey look and so forth.

Texture- beautiful! You can use this as crease color or all over lid.

Club is another one I have been wanting to get based off of swatches so I would go with that one too!

    Hope this helped :]

    best wishes!*

  21. The 8 I would choose from your list are:

Patina (number one out of the lot!)
    Romp
    Goldmine
    Club
    Goldmine
    Brule
    Shadowy Lady
    Plumage

I have mulch and smut as well but get barely any wear out of either. I don't really like the glitter fallout from Mulch (and romp or twinks are better brown shimmer/frost options IMO). While Smut though pretty, is a bit hard to get good payoff with.

    Hope that helps! :)

  22. Here's my picks out of that list:

    Romp
    Patina
    Embark
    Brule
    Club
    Twinks
    Mulch
    Smut

  23. Great list of potential choices!
    I'd go with:
Smut - LOVE this in the crease
    Mulch
    Patina
    Brule
    Scene

I would maybe pass on Typographic (it's popular but I was disappointed in it)
And I'd also pass on Embark, the application isn't great and its very matte.
