Friday Night FOTN/OOTN

Hey Guys!
Friday night was my friend's b-day so we decided to go out to the bar. I just did a classic smokey eye and left my hair straight from work. I got ready in about 20 min so I didn't do anything too special. Here are a couple pics. I wish I got a better one of my outfit, but it's the top I picked up from Forever21 which I showed you guys here. I paired it with black leggings and heeled boots.

February Favourites!

I can't believe it's the end of February already. Today is the last day of the Olympics and Canada and the USA are facing off in hockey FOR THE GOLD at 3:00pm! I can't wait! During the Olympics I obviously cheer for Canada, but if Canada doesn't win then I always cheer for the States as well. It's going to be a good game. I hope Canada wins its 14th Gold Medal and sets Winter Olympic History! Are you watching the game?

Here are my faves!

NARS Turkish Delight Lipgloss: I think this is pretty much in everyone's "Favourites" at some point. I've had this for a while, but have been using it pretty much every time I go out this month so I thought it was worth mentioning.
NARS Albatross Blush: It's such a beautiful golden highlight. This is going to look especially good come the summer when I have a tan. This gives me the perfect glow and will last me FOREVER because a little bit goes a very long way.

MAC Cinderfella Mineralize Eye Shadow: Bringing back some Style Black here... but this is perfect for an evening look or using it as a liner around the eye. I love the glitter in it and this just adds that extra little something to any look.

MAC Painterly Paint Pot: I am so pleased I bought this. I've been using it every single day since picking it up and it evens out my skin and allows my shadow to adhere all day. Definitely reached HG status.

MAC Viva Glam Cyndi: Perfect daytime red. Not overpowering at all and looks good on just about everyone I've seen wearing it. I'll definitely need to pick up some backups. This is by far my fave red!

MAC Viva Glam Gaga: Been wearing this on nights out. It reminds me a lot of Snob since it turns a tad purplish on my lips. It is more sheer than Snob and more wearable in my opinion. I'm really impressed with the new Viva Glam lippies!

Cover Girl Lash Blast Luxe: I picked this up in Platinum Black. I use to use the regular Lash Blast when it first came out and I don't know why I stopped using it. I guess because I started trying new things, but this made me fall in love again! It gives length, volume AND separation to my lashes. Usually I need to use two mascaras to achieve the look I'm going for, but with this I just need this tube.

MAC From Our Lips Collection - Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper for Viva Glam

Hey Guys!
I've seen a billion posts about these two lippies already, but I figured I would make my own post as well considering I was VERY excited to pick these up and help out the MAC AIDS campaign. Love both colours. I'm a sucker for pinks as you know so Gaga was right up my alley, but I'm sooo in love with Cyndi because it's a very wearable red/coral (which I needed in my collection). I'm very impressed with these! They go on fairly sheer, but they are buildable. I also adore the signatures on the packaging and lipstick tubes.

Viva Glam Cyndi (Light Reddish Coral - Lustre)

I also picked up a couple more items from MAC. I've wanted a nude Paint Pot for a while now so I decided on Painterly. It's a great base for eyeshadow and I definitely see myself always having this in my collection! I also got another lipstick in Show Orchid which is a PRO colour, but was released in the Riveting Collection. It is probably the boldest colour I own and I love how the light picks up the blue in it. Definitely a statement colour and I know it is one of Raquel Reed's favourites!

MAC Malibu Peach NOTD

Two coats of Malibu Peach. Top coat Seche Vite. Please excuse sloppy mani.
Hey Guys!
I bought this online when the Spring Forecast collection first came out and just haven't got around to posting about it. Only a couple things caught my eye, but this is the only item I ended picking up. It is a perfect colour for spring/summer and I know I will be wearing it a lot! It looks really good when I'm both pale and tan so that's exciting. The photo doesn't quite capture how the colour looks so I apologize. You definitely should check this out next time you are at your local MAC counter. It really is beautiful. I liked Galore to, but I have so many pink polishes that I couldn't justify picking it up at the moment. What did you pick up from Spring Forecast?

Will You Be My Valentine?!

Hey guys!
I'm just making a quick post today to say Happy Valentine's Day to all my readers!

My mom always buys us these HUGE Hershey Kisses for V-day. It has become a little tradition. They are delicious. To see the FOTD for this look, click here.

Today I am going out with a group of friends. We are meeting at Boston Pizza for lunch and to eat some delicious heart shaped pizzas. After, we are heading to the movies to see "Valentine's Day". I've only seen the poster for the movie, no previews or anything so I hope it's good. It has basically EVERY actor/actress who has ever been in a chick flick...seriously! haha.

Last V-day Bella had worms... LOL It was one of the most disgusting and UNROMANTIC things ever. hahaha. I'm glad everyone is in good health this year.

What are your plans for today?

Will you be my valentine?! xoxo

REVIEW: Annabelle Smudgeliner

Hey Guys!
This is my final product review from the package I received from Annabelle/Marcelle cosmetics. I received the Annabelle Smudgeliner in "OhMyGoth!" and have been using it everyday this past week for work. It's really quick and easy to use on those days when I don't feel like using liquid or gel liner. I ALWAYS smudge my pencil liner and this comes with a handy smudging tool on the end. I wish the tool was a bit smaller so I could be more precise because I find it bends too much and smudges the line out more than I personally like. The formula is great though. It's long lasting, stays put and glides on smooth and effortlessly. I tried using my MAC 219 are really like smudging the liner out with that.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation FOTD

Hey guys!
Man I've been having a rough week. My body aches from work, I've been falling asleep at 8 and waking up at 5 and not feeling rested even though that's a good 9 hours sleep! Monday, I came home from work and found that Bella (my dog) ATE my GLASSES! They were up high on a dresser so I don't know what possessed her to do that. Then today when I came home from work I found one of my NEW leather gloves chewed up AND MY WORK GLASSES!!!! I thought I Bella proofed my house after she ate my daily glasses, but obviously not a good enough job. These were even higher out of her reach so I'm totally baffled. I don't want to cage her because that's not fair, but I don't want her to hurt herself by eating something she's not suppose to. This week I'm not getting ahead financially because I gotta replace all the things she ate (which are rather expensive). Do you have any stories about animals eating belongings that you would like to share?! I know in time I'll probably look back and laugh, but right now it's not funny... haha as I laugh. Anyways, Here is my FOTD! Hope you enjoy!

NARS Albatross Blush vs. MAC Solar White Eyeshadow

Hey Guys!
I got my first pay Friday so I've been out this weekend shopping! I didn't go too crazy or anything, but here are a couple items I picked up yesterday when I hung out with the girls. I picked up a Victoria's Secret PINK zip up hoodie. It's super soft and the colour really complements my skin and hair. FINALLY...I got my hands on NARS Albatross. I was really excited. I wanted to buy Lovejoy and Amour, but figured spending $100 on blush at once is a bit excessive and I'm trying to watch my spending.

As you know, MAC Solar White eyeshadow is my FAVOURITE eyeshadow EVER! I've been drooling over Albatross and now I know why. It's a great dupe for Solar White! Albatross is like Solar White, but for your face! Now I won't have to cry when my Solar White is all gone because now I have a good replacement. Albatross is a little more gold/darker than Solar White, but not by much. If you look up close you can tell, but from a distance they are virtually identical. What are some of your favourite NARS products? I'm really loving the brand at the moment.
