Hey Guys!
It's the end of the month and it's time for my favourites! This month just flew by for me. Time just seems to be flying by faster and faster as I get older. Point being, It's my birthday tpmorrow and I'm going to be 24! That seems so old to me... 24 is almost 25 which is almost 30! haha Do you like how I think? People laugh at me when I say that...but I guess it just matters how I feel, and I still feel young. This year I'm not doing too much for my b-day. Tomorrow I'm going to be going out for dinner with my man and a couple friends. Friday I'm going to celebrate my birthday and Easter with my family. I'll have a small birthday haul to post this coming weekend :) I already pre-bought myself some presents...that's how I justify my excessive shopping this month to my boyfriend..."But Charles...it's my birthday!" lol.

MAC Beauty Powder in "Shell": If you don't have this...buy it. When my skin is on the light side it's SUCH a beautiful coloured blush and when I'm tan it's a great highlighter! It's incredibly smooth and blends in so easy for a beautiful sheen and glow to my face. I've very impressed and the packaging was just too cute to pass up.

NARS Blush in "Lovejoy": A very flattering colour for tan skin. Someone asked me if it was too red, but it comes up a beautiful bronzey reddish rose. It is very pigmented and a little goes a long way. I look and feel very natural and put together when I wear this.

St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse: I've been using St. Moriz and then I tried this. St. Moriz has been compared to St. Tropez, but in my opinion St. Tropez is 10x better. Sure it is more pricey, but the colour and application just don't compare. I want to do a full review and comparison on these two products so check back soon if you are interested.

MAC Lipstick in "Peachstock": One of my new HG nude shades. It's a perfect peachy nude and paired with MAC "Freshly Frank" it looks very flattering with my skin. It came out with the Liberty of London collection, but it is a permanent colour at MAC Pro!

MAC Lipglass in "Frankly Fresh": This also came out with the Liberty of London Collection. It is my lips but better. It adds the perfect colour and sheen to any of my nude lippies. I'm not one to buy backups, but this is going to be a staple for me.

Zoya "Barbie" Nail Polish: A beautiful pink with subtle shimmer. The picture really shows the variety of undertones in the pink, but in most lighting the shimmer isn't as noticeable. This is the perfect "Barbie" colour in my opinion. To see it on my nails, click here.

Seche Vite Top Coat: A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and affordable. My mani last a good 5 days before chipping or peeling. I use my hands constantly at work and this top coat allows me to get away with not having to re-paint my nails as often as I use to. It is very high shine and dries SUPER fast! I won't use anything but this Top Coat from now on. HG status for sure.

What were some of your favourite products this month?

Zoya "Barbie" NOTD

Hey guys!
I've bought a whole bunch of new products in the past couple weeks which I hope to get to review. Here are 3 new polishes I plan on doing NOTDs with. I picked up Zoya "Barbie", Essie "Red Nouveau", and China Glaze "Custom Kicks".

What I'm wearing currently is Zoya "Barbie". It's such a beautiful pink with a very subtle shimmer. I had to use 3 coats to get it to look the way I like (normally I only need to do 2 with other nail polishes). I absolutely love the colour and think it's perfect for spring/summer. It came out last spring and I bought it off ebay.

MAC Brave New Bronze Lipstick

I know the Style Warriors Collection was forever ago, but I always covet things AFTER they have gone bye-bye. When it comes to makeup, I have a bad case of wanting things I can't have... haha. I picked this up this week and it is yet another beautiful neutral lippie to add to my collection. I dislike the formula of BNB (which is a Satin), but the colour is beautiful. I've been pairing it with MAC Freshly Frank from the Give Me Liberty of London collection! Do you have to buy things after they have sold out or been discontinued or is it just me?

My Vanity Project!

Hey Guys!
Sorry for my lack of posts this past week, but I've been really busy with work and various little side projects...like reformatting my computer! It finally runs just like new and I have no internet issues anymore! Yay.

Anyways, I decided it was time I had a vanity because my train case is officially overflowing and I needed more space. This project was fairly cheap because I found a lot of little office supplies and holders from the dollar store! I love being thrifty.

I had this desk from my parents house which was just collecting dust and holding a stereo system at my place so I decided to use it for my vanity project! Here are approximate values of everything I purchased for my project. I thought it could have been a lot more expensive, but I got off fairly cheap.
MAC Eyeshadow palettes, Eye brushes, Part 1 of MAC lipstick army

Acrylic Nail Polish Holder, Fix +, MAC Brush Cleanser, Paper Towel Bowl

Face brushes, 78 Palette, MAC Blush Palette, Part 2 of MAC Lipstick Army

Makeup Storage, Estee Lauder Makeup Bag, Garbage, MAC Bag w/ Back to MAC empties

Palette Holders x2 $1 Each
Makeup Brush Holders x2 $2 Each
Paper Towel Holder/Bowl $1
Acrylic Lipstick Holder x2 $10 Each
Acrylic Nail Polish Rack $25
Sterilite Plastic Organizer x2 $10 Each
Garbage Bin $2

Total: $74

Now I just need a lighted makeup mirror and more vase filler stuff for my eye brushes and I'm set! I prob will spend just over $100 in the end. How do you organize your makeup?

How many times do you wash your face daily?
Once. I only was my face at night. My face isn't oily or acne prone so I can get away with once a day.

Loveee them! Falsies can complete a look IMO. I'm addicted.

Both?! haha. If I had to choose I'm definitely a MAC girl at heart.

SMASHBOX Photo Finish Primer

MAC Give Me Liberty of London Haul + Swatches

Hey Guys!
On Friday I went to my local MAC counter and checked out the new collections. I didn't buy anything from Too Fabulous because the Mineralize Blushes were REALLY glitter and sparkle filled and nothing really caught my eye since I have some similar shades in my collection that are more flattering. I would have picked up a couple of the Cremesheen Glass, but they are now permanent so I can wait. I did get a bunch of products from the Give Me Liberty of London Collection because the colours were really complimentary to my skin tone and the packaging was beautiful. Here are pictures and swatches of the items I decided to pick up. I'm absolutely in LOVE with everything I got! I'm especially impressed with the lipstick shades and they are definitely going to get a lot of use in the upcoming months! HG status for sure. I also picked up NARS "Lovejoy" blush. I haven't used it yet, but the colour looks lovely swatched on my skin.

REVIEW: Annabelle Trio

Hey Guys!
I was sent two eyeshadow trios from Annabelle to review: "Blue Hue" and "Grafix". My favourite of the two is the "Graffix" trio. I think this trio has a perfect selection of colours for a classic smokey eye. The colours are also not too dark so I find they are day-time appropriate as well as evening appropriate. I like trios because they are a no-brainer when you want to create a look and you don't know what to use. It also comes in a reasonably sized container which you can just throw in your purse or bring it along for travel. The trios have 2.7 grams of product whereas the individual shadows for the Custom Quad (which I reviewed here) have 2 grams per shadow. The consistency I find very similar to the individual shadows, which is surprising because normally palettes, trios, or quads are not as good quality. When I put my brush in the "Grafix" trio a lot of product was picked up without much effort, but I just tapped off the excess. I found these a bit harder to blend, mainly the dark colour in the "Grafix" trio. If I were to choose I think I like the Custom Quad better, mainly because I can create my own colour combos and the individual eyeshadows come with a bit more product. I can't wait to try out "Blue Hue", but "Grafix" is definitely the perfect smokey eye trio!

REVIEW: Skin MD Natural + Giveaway!

Hey Guys!
I was sent this product a while ago to review, but I wanted to use it for a bit before I gave my opinion on it. I'm sure you've already seen countless blogs reviewing this moisturizer, but here is what I think.

This moisturizer is different from any moisturizer I have tried. It is called a "shielding lotion" and that is exactly what it does. It retains moisture in the skin while protecting against environmental agents. I couldn't be more happier receiving this in the winter months because I normally get dry hands, however this winter my hands have stayed baby soft and moisturized. Also, at work I have to wear personal protective equipment (gloves) that have harsh industrial detergents to clean them which practically bleach my hands and leave them so dry. I haven't experienced the dry hands I normally get from wearing these gloves since I started using Skin MD on my hands. I also don't have to moisturize my hands as much as I would with some moisturizers I have used in the past!

I've also been using this product on my face. It absorbs very quickly and doesn't leave that greasy or "just moisturized" feeling. My skin instantly feels softer after application. It is very lightweight and doesn't have a terrible smell to it. It acts almost like a face primer because it leaves my skin so smooth that foundation glides on flawlessly. I would definitely recommend this moisturizer because I've had such a great experience with it. They also have a moisturizer with SPF which I think would be perfect for the warmer months!

Now for the exciting part, one of my readers will receive the same package I got for FREE!

There are two restrictions from the company,
1. They only ship to the US and Canada
2. They require a manditory visit to their website for entry

Now all you need to do is leave a comment saying "ENTER ME", your e-mail address so the company can be in contact directly with you, and one thing you like about my blog!
Good luck! I'll be picking the winner Sunday, March 14th!

TUTORIAL: How I Curl My Hair!

Hey guys!
I've had several requests to do a hair tutorial. I actually made little videos to go along with this and I was so excited for my first "Youtube debut", but my computer is being stupid, like usual, and not letting me see the video in my editing software. Sooo, I tried taking stills to better show how I curl my hair. It's actually really easy to do and doesn't take me more than 25 minutes now that I'm good at it. It use to take me 45 minutes to curl my hair...I don't know how I've managed to become so quick when my hair is getting longer and longer. Anyways, after prepping my hair, I use VERY few tools and products. Trust me, this is VERY easy.

Washed hair with LUSH Big Shampoo and LUSH American Cream Conditioner
Combed Hair with wide toothed comb
Towel dry hair a tad and add Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray
Blow Dry Hair

Salon Selectives Stay put Hair Spray (purple can)
Conair 1" Barrel Curling Iron

*Before starting my hair I put on an old zip-up hoodie so that my skin or good clothes don't get all hairsprayed. Don't wear a tight necked shirt or else it will mess up your hair when you take it off...*

STEP 1: I pull half my hair up and clip it up to get it out of the way. The most important part is your top layers since it is what you mainly see so I like to do that last and quickly do my bottom layer. It doesn't have to be perfect. I just grabbed what I thought to be equal all around and threw it up. I then LIGHTLY spray my bottom layer with hair spray so that it holds my curl better.

STEP 2: This is what your curls should look like. If you have hard to curl hair I would suggest spraying each curl with hairspray after you curl each section. I tend to spray my bottom layer curls after each curl is made. The top section of my hair I only need to spray my entire head once REALLY well at the end. Keep curling your bottom layer until finished.

I WRAP my hair around the curling iron. I do not use the clamp.

I hold each section at the end so I don't burn my fingers. I hold it there for about 5-10 seconds depending on how thick the section is I picked up. I tend to pick up fairly thin sections of hair.

The curls comes off the barrel very easily by just lightly pulling the end.

This is what the finished bottom layer will look like.

STEP 2: I then take out the top sections of my hair and clip up one side of my hair so I can curl the other side. I usually part my hair down the center.

My straight hair is mixed in with my curls. I know some people clip up their hair and take out sections little by little, but this is much faster for me to leave it down and grab what I need as I go. Continue curling by wrapping hair AROUND the barrel. Take down second side of hair, curl that and you are finished!

I flipped part of my hair over because I wanted an off center part... I like parting my hair off to the side when I finished because I find the pieces that frame my face look much more natural and flattering when I flip them to the other side.

Hope this helps!
