April Favourites!

Hey Guys!
It's that time again! I've had a ton of favourites this month and had to narrow it down. A lot of my favourites from months previous have actually become HGs of mine. A lot of time my monthly favourites turn into HGs! There are definitely some HGs in the group I picked out for this month. Also, I just realized that this will only be my 11th post this month! I'll try and post more often in May, but I've been super busy. Charles and I have been thinking about buying a new house! I'm so excited! At the moment we are investing our time and money into doing a few renovations in order to have our house be presentable for sale. If we don't end up moving, at least our house will look nice and fresh! I hope you all have an amazing weekend! Let me know what some of your favourite products of April were in a comment below!

Bed Head After Party: I only need to use a VERY tiny amount of product to get the results I'm looking for. This was a bit pricey for me since I don't tend to spend a whole lot of money on hair products, but it is well worth the money for the amount of product I need per use. It has a strong scent, but it smells good and lingers in my hair. It leaves my hair super shiny and soft! It works well for thick or thin hair. My friend with thick hair recommended this to me and I tried it out and fell in love. I let a friend with very fine thin hair use it and it didn't leave it greasy (a lot of products do).

Ardell 111 False Lashes: These have been a favourite of mine for quite some time now. However, I tried cutting them in half because Natty has been doing that and I love the result! It is really flattering and less obvious than wearing a full set.

L'Oreal Lash Serum: This stuff works. I was sceptical because one of the main ingredients in this is alcohol (which I thought would be drying on my eyelashes). However, I've been using this for about 3 weeks now and I've noticed a difference in the length and amount of lashes I have! I will be posting a full review on this product soon so make sure to check back if you are interested.

MAC Tendertone in "Pucker": This smells AMAZING and is very moisturizing on my lips. It gives my lips a very natural flush of colour which I love. My friend bought this at a CCO when she was in Vegas, so unfortunately you can't get them at a MAC store.

MAC Eyeshadow in "Gazette Grey": This just came out with the MAC Pret-A-Papier collection and is one of my favourite eyeshadows I own! I have been using this every single day since I bought it and have been putting it in the outer V of my eye and blending it out. You can see swatches of it by clicking here.

MAC Lipstick in "Brave New Bronze": One of my FAVOURITE lipsticks EVER! I just recently got my hands on this (which came out with the Style Warriors Collection) and I'm obsessed. Every time I go out I reach for this. It is very flattering on my skin tone and I will definitely be repurchasing this in multiples if/when it is released again.

Estee Lauder Double Wear in "Fresco": I'm still using the sample I got of this. It has lasted me forever! A little goes a long way with this foundation and it covers EVERYTHING and lasts ALL DAY and looks the same at the end of the day as it did in the morning when I put it on. I will be picking up a bottle of this, but I'm not sure if I will be using it as much now that the weather is getting nicer. I like to give my skin a breather in the summer and this is definitely the most full-coverage foundation I own.

MAC Pret-A-Papier Swatches

Hey Guys!
I didn't get much from this collection, but a couple things caught my eye. I knew I wanted to buy Light Over Dark Mineralize Blush as soon as I heard it was coming out with this collection. I also saw swatches of Gazette Grey Eyeshadow and knew I HAD to buy this! This eyeshadow is even more beautiful in person. I tried to capture the true colour in my swatches below. It is a greyish-green with gold shimmer! It's stunning.

Marbleized Side, Mixed, Dark Side Buys! Buys Buys by ch3rylxx featuring Forever21

I did a little shopping online at 5:30 am before I had to go to work! There are soooooo many cute things on at the moment that I couldn't resist (even though I told myself NO MORE CLOTHES). I bought a couple more items, but when I went back to find the pictures they were gone... that's the trouble with As soon as I find something I like, I have to buy it RIGHT AWAY or risk it being gone within the day. I picked up two lace bodysuits in black and white @ 17.80, a little black dress @ 21.80 and a super cute romper @ 29.80. Is anyone else OBSESSED with their website?! I seriously order at least once a week... :S Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I'm heading back home to visit my family and friends. My best friend is leaving for 2.5 weeks to Europe! I'm going to be so sad :(

TUTORIAL: How I Groom and Fill in my Eyebrows!

Hey Guys!
Not gonna lie, I use to be a slacker when it came to keeping my eyebrows in check, but lately I've been keeping up with grooming them. It's not like they grow fast at all so I really don't know why I was so lazy... I have to do it maybe once a month? Is that bad? haha Seriously, they don't grow fast. Another shocker, I've never had my brows professional done before...EVER. My brows are pretty much this shape naturally, with a few stray hairs which I must pluck, and some sparse patches I must fill in. I'm still working on perfecting my technique and I think I'm slowly getting better, but for those of you who have requested for this tutorial...Here you go! Hope you enjoy :D

Brow Razor
MAC 266 Angle Brush
MAC Brow Shader in Walnut/Ivory
MAC Carbon Eyeshadow (I mix a little bit of this when my hair is dark, like it is now)
Maybelline Clear Brow Gel

STEP 1: I pluck any stray hairs using my Revlon tweezers.

This is how they should look after tweezing.

STEP 2: I then use my Brow Razor and take off any stray hairs between my eyebrows and razor along the tops of my eyebrows (for any stray hairs and to sharpen the edge)

STEP 3: Next I apply foundation to my entire face and lightly go over my lid area.

Look at my hair... haha I didn't do it prior to this tutorial... Oh my.

STEP 4: With an angled brush (I like to use the MAC 266) and an eyeshadow which is a couple shades lighter than your hair colour (for brunettes), make a line at the bottom of your eyebrow. I like using MAC Brow Shader in Walnut and mix it with some Carbon when I have REALLY dark brown, almost black hair like I do now.

STEP 5: Lightly brush up the eyeshadow line you just made so that the area is even and not to heavy (you don't want your brows to look to harsh at the beginning... sometimes I do it a bit too dark, opps). I also have REALLY sparse hair at this section which I like to fill in, yours might not take as much work as mine does.

STEP 6: Take more eyeshadow and your angle brush and go over the middle portion and tail/end of your brow.

STEP 7: Use some clear brow gel and go over your entire brow. I like to go up with the brush and slide it over. It should look something like the picture below when you are finished. The brow gel helps it stay in place ALL day and looks more polished IMO.

MY BIRTHDAY HAUL! ...Pic Heavy!!

Hey Guys!
Here is my Birthday Haul I was talking about. I picked up a bunch of things, randomly, here in there the week before and after my birthday. I got some really good deals, and also picked up a couple things I've been wanting for a while now.

House of Harlow Gold and Black Resin Necklace by Nicole Richie:
I've wanted this necklace FOREVER and finally had some extra cash to spend on it. This is my favourite purchase I made.

Victoria's Secret PINK Hoodies and Pants:
I already had the hoodie in purple, which I showed you guys already which I paid $60 for. These were all on sale for $19 so I got a hoodie in every colour and picked up two pairs of the pants because they are REALLY comfy for lounging around the house.

H&M Cropped Leather Jacket:
This jacket retailed at $59, but I got it 50% off! It fits me PERFECTLY and the shoulders are so cute because they puff up a little. This is very flattering on my body. Normally I have a problem with jackets making me look obese due to my chest, but this actually makes me look slimmer than I am.

Costa Blanca Jean Vest:
After I saw Kim Kardashian with a Jean Vest, I had to buy one for myself. I copied her and paired it with a long white tank and black leggings w/ booties and it look very chic. The vest fits rather large, but I already bought a size down from what I am normally, so I didn't think to go 2 sizes down.

F21 White Lace Tee:
This is so adorable. I'm OBSESSED with lace, if you didn't know already, and this makes me feel very feminine. The front is see through so I paired it with a white tank to go underneath. The pearl detail around the neck is also what sold me. I love pearls.

F21 Black Faux Leather Sandals:
I already bought a bazillion pairs of sandals from F21, but I wanted a black pair.

F21 Mesh Upper Body Suit:
I don't have anything like this in my wardrobe. It's super sexy and will be good for going under pants, skirts...etc.

F21 Tank:
I love the detail on this tank top. IT HAS LACE AT THE BACK OF THE NECK! YAY! haha It fits loose and is perfect for jeans, shorts...etc.

F21 Jean Cut off Skirt:
These were on sale for $15 a piece so I bought both colours. Wish they were a bit longer... a little on the short side for me.

F21 Turquoise Ring:
I'm OBSESSED with turquoise jewelry... I seriously buy everything I see that's turquoise.

F21 Bangle:
Turquoise painted wood...what more can I say. Love it.

F21 Gold Bracelets:
These are really sturdy. I have a pair I bought from ALDO and they were twice as much, and cheaply made. I love the different details on each of the bracelets. I'm also OBSESSED with gold jewelry...looks better with my tan.

And I believe that is all. My parents also bought me an acoustic guitar so I'm learning that! I'm really excited, but the strings hurt my fingers...I wish my fingers were longer too so I could play better. Oh well, practice makes perfect!

FOTD: Ricepaper + Carbon

Hey Guys!
Here is the look I did Saturday! Hope you enjoy! It's definitely one of my fave looks I've done in a long time. And yes... I did go DARK with my hair this past week. I only wanted my roots to be touched up, but I ended up getting my whole head practically black (not what I was going for, but I actually think it suits me really well)

Revlon Photo Ready Foundation in Medium Beige
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Dark
MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW25
MAC Harmony Blush
MAC Eversun Blush
NARS Albatross

MAC Ricepaper e/s
MAC Carbon e/s
MAC Vanilla e/s
Wet N' Wild Gel Liner
Ardell #111s (cut in half)
Covergirl Lashblast Luxe in Platinum Black

MAC Brave New Bronze l/s
MAC Frankly Fresh l/g

Top: From! They have it in 4 different colours I believe on the Canadian website. I had to put a tank underneath because the front of it is see through. I will be posting this in my "Haul post" which is coming up next!

A lot of blog posts this weekend because I'm doing absolutely nothing! I might go out to the movies today, but who knows... I was cleaning the house from 12-2am last night because I was so bored and needed to stay on my work schedule. Any fun plans this weekend for yourself?

Hot Miami Styles OOTD!

Hey Guys!
I'm so excited for this post because I've been eying some of the clothing on for a while now and this past week a very kind representative from the online clothing store sponsored me!

I received two dresses. One is really cute for everyday, and the other is really sexy for a night out. They fit really well since they have stretch to them. The material is really soft against the skin and will be perfect for the warmer months because it isn't heavy at all. I have a big list of other items I want to get! Even if these dresses weren't sent to me, I would definitely have paid the money myself...that's how much I like them! A lot of the clothing is really affordable and they have a really cool section called "As Seen On Celebs" which features affordable versions of clothing seen on celebrities! This is probably my fave thing about the online store.

Here are what the dresses look like on:
Coming soon: FOTD for the look above!

They ship worldwide and free shipping is available to US residents who spend $100+!

Forever Sandals!

Hey Guys!
Forever 21 ALWAYS has the cutest clothes. I've been placing numerous orders online, since December, and have been hooked! The clothes are very affordable, yet stylish, and who wants to pay a ton of money when fashion changes all the time! Well I've been particularly obsessed with their footwear, and figured I'd share with you some of the sandals I received in the mail last week!

(they had these in white, but sold out so I got the nude ones instead...still wish I had the white though)

(these are my favourite)

These are some random VS PINK sandals I got for $5. I like their random deals they have when you are at the check out.

Can you tell I'm obsessed with gold?! I just think gold looks amazing on tan skin...and I'm hoping to go to the beach and be outdoors A LOT this summer! I'm also obsessed with Turquoise accessories and nail polish... To shop online at FOREVER 21, click here.

Vegas CCO Finds!

Hey Guys!
As you know, It was my birthday March 31st! One of my besties came back from Vegas and bought me a couple items from the Vegas CCO she frequents. I've never myself been to a CCO so I was happy to have my hands on some goodies. She picked me up a Tendertone Lip Balm in "Pucker" and a Mineralize Blush in "Earth To Earth". Here are a couple pictures and swatches of my presents! I love them both!

MAC Earth to Earth Mineralized Blush: One side is Peachy Brown, and the marbleized side comes up a purplish pink. When mixed they make a beautiful bronzey peach. I have to be careful not to pick up too much of the purple, but this is a new favourite blush of mine! The colour is absolutely gorgeous and very flattering on my skin tone. This will be perfect for the warmer months!

MAC Tendertone Lip Balm in "Pucker": Super moisturizing and it smells AMAZING! It goes on very sheer and will be perfect for the upcoming summer months since it has an SPF of 12 (but doesn't SPF in products expire even if unopened? haha oh well, I still love it!)

What have been some of your favourite finds at a CCO?
