Revlon Lip Products!

Hey Guys!
My camera is still broken, but I took these pictures awhile ago for a future blog post. I absolutely love Revlon lip products and wanted to share some swatches of various products I've purchased from the company.

Lipgloss

One of my favourite drugstore lipglosses is Revlon Super Lustrous SPF 15 Lipgloss! The formula is great: cremey, thick and not too sticky, but sticky enough so that it lasts a decent amount of time on your lips. The packaging is also simple and sleek which I love. These have a distinct smell to them, not a bad smell, but you know you are wearing Super Lustrous Lipgloss when you have these on.

I'm also a big fan of Revlon Lipstick as well! I've tried different formulas of various collections they carry (Super Lustrous, Matte, and Colorburst) and if I were to purchase only one of the lippies I would definitely get Revlon Colorburst in Soft Nude as the texture and application is far superior to the other two. I didn't exfoliate my lips prior to applying the shades, so Nude Attitude can look a pit drying since its a Matte. Just Enough Buff is a creme and would be my second choice to repurchase. The only thing I dislike about Colorburst Lipstick in Soft Nude is that it smells gross. I absolutely ADORE the packaging for the Colorburst Lipstick...I think they tailored this particular collection to my taste!

REVIEW: Clinicians Complex Lip Enhancer

Hey Guys!
I was sent a package full of goodies from one of my sponsors, SkinCareRx, awhile back and haven't had a chance to review any of the products in care package they sent me. I've been wanting to review the "Clinicians Complex Lip Enhancer" since I've received the package because it is hands down THE BEST lip plumper I have ever used. I really like Victorias Secret Lip Plumper, but this stuff works 10x better in my opinion. The only downside is the price. At $59, it is a bit pricey. However, you can achieve not only short term enhancing results, but long term ones as well. By using this 3 times a day for about a month you should see results. I can visually see my lips plumping when I use this stuff (especially my upper lip which is thinner than my bottom). You will feel a slight tingle when using this, but it goes away after several minutes of wear.
Clinicians Complex Lip Enhancer in "Almost Nude"

Some information taken from the SkinCareRx website
  • Plumps lips while smoothing fine lines and wrinkles
  • Use of peptides stimulates collagen, plumping the lips for long term
  • Palmitoyl Oligopeptide plumps the lips
  • Retinol smooths and renews
  • Menthol cools and invigorates
There are a variety of shades and also a clear option if you are opposed to colour. If you are looking for a REALLY good lip plumper, I HIGHLY recommend Clinicians Complex Lip Enhancer. I've tried numerous lip enhancing glosses and lip products and none of them compare to the results that this formula gives.

Back From Vacation... I'M ENGAGED!

Hey Guys!
I was gone for the past week and had the best vacation EVER! I did so much exciting things, I'm exhausted and feel like I now need a vacation from my vacation... lol. If you have been following me on Twitter I've kept you posted on everything that has been going on. For those of you who don't follow me, here's a little update: I'M ENGAGED!

Charles proposed yesterday (July 17) and I was so shocked! I still can't stop looking at my ring finger and smiling. The center diamond is princess cut and just over 1 karat, with smaller diamonds around the band set in white gold. It is much more beautiful in person. I wish I could have taken a better picture of the ring, but unfortunately my camera got sand in it while I was camping and now the lens won't retract. :( With this said, I won't be able to do any of the new posts I wanted to (i.e., MAC In The Groove Haul, Toronto Shopping Haul...etc.). I have some posts I've been working on so I will just have to use those pictures for the time being (I'm quite behind in posts, so there should be plenty for me to do while I figure out my camera situation).

Also, I bought my first car July 16! It is a 2010 Mazda3 and it's a beauty. I named her "Betty" after the song "Black Betty" because...well...she's black and I thought it was appropriate. LOL. My mom took the picture with her camera since mine is dead :(. Such a bad time for my camera to die on me.

Saturday, July 10 I went to see Hole at the Sound Academy in Toronto! Courtney Love is AMAZING live. I was actually quite surprised because it was her birthday the day before so I thought she'd be a mess for our concert, however I was mistaken. She had a great set list and even let the audience request songs to play. She played some of her new music, but a lot of old favourites.

Sunday, July 11 was my besties birthday and we went to Lady Gaga at the ACC! I've seen Lady Gaga once before and didn't think it was possible for her to get any better than she already was, but my goodness... she is AMAZING live! The tickets were outrageous, I've never spent so much on a concert, but it was worth the money in my opinion. If you love Gaga and ever have the chance to see her live...DO IT! You won't be disappointed. Unfortunately my camera died and I didn't get any pictures, but my friend did so I will post one later once she sends them to me. We did our makeup all crazy, and wore our matching Gaga glasses. We are such dorks.

During the week I went camping. I don't have pictures because they are stuck on my camera, but it was so beautiful and relaxing. We didn't stay our whole scheduled time because there was a rain storm coming, and I really didn't feel like camping in it so we left early. I still had a great vacation and can't wait to get back to blogging!

I'm on Holidays!

Hey Guys!
Today is my last day of work and then I'm on holidays all next week! I only get two weeks holidays during the year so I'm making the most of my first week off and doing a lot of fun activities. This being said, you won't be seeing any new posts until after my mini vacation. Right now I'm packing to go to Toronto for the weekend to see a couple concerts. Saturday night I'm going to be seeing HOLE and Sunday I'm going to be seeing LADY GAGA!

Below is a picture I took the first time I saw Lady Gaga in concert. I didn't get floor tickets this time so my pictures won't be nearly this good. However, at least I got to see her perform this close once before!

Sunday is also by besties birthday so I will be taking her out for dinner/shopping and maybe a stop at a lounge after the concert! I can't wait to show you pictures! During the week I will be gone camping and the weather looks like it's going to be beautiful the days I'll be gone (i.e., 30 degrees). Hope you all have an amazing next 9 days!

MAC Eyeshadow Palettes

Hey Guys!
My absolute favourite posts to read are about other bloggers eyeshadow palettes! I just recently picked up a bunch of new eyeshadows (i.e., Patina, Goldmine, Brule, Smut, Mulch, Club, Twinks, Texture, Brown Script, Tempting, Tete-a-Tint, Scene, Print, Typographic, Embark, Romp) and I'm so excited for all the FOTDs I will have in the future! I asked you all to pick out 8-10 from my list because I wanted to narrow it down, but instead I picked up 16 which was even more than the list I originally started with. LOL As you can tell, I love my neutrals and I stay away from crazy colours. It's not that I don't like colour, I just don't like colour on me. I know I would never wear a chrome yellow eyeshadow, so therefore why would I buy it? My eyes are very green and I prefer that colour to stand out more than my eyeshadow. Blues and Purple are really nice though because they enhance the colour of my eyes. I've arranged each palette into 4 generalized categories. Not all eyeshadows fit the category exactly, but this is the best setup I have thus far. Hope you enjoy my collection!

June Favourites!

Hey Guys!
Like every month, I had trouble narrowing down my favourite products I've been using. This month I didn't just focus on makeup, but I added a couple different items that I have been using religiously this June.

Vanilla and Coconut Oil from Bath and Body Works: I've been picking up random things for the house and this month I stopped in at Bath and Body Works and picked up a ton of hand soaps for the bathrooms and kitchen as well as an oil warmer for my living room. My house smells like summer and baked goods all the time now because of the oil I purchased called Vanilla and Coconut. I'm absolutely CRAZY about anything vanilla scented and now my house smells so good.

Kirkland Cleansing Towelettes: I picked these up at Costco and these are THE BEST facial wipes I've used. I like them even more than my Neutrogena ones (both yellow and blue packages). I'm going to be doing a full review on these, but for the time being I HIGHLY recommend them!

Ardell 116 Eyelashes: These are really natural, and since I like to keep my makeup on the natural side for the summer, I've been using these every time I go out instead of my drag ones lol

MAC Hipness Blush: This came out at the end of May, but I didn't think it was fair to include it in my May favourites since I only used it a few days. I've been using this almost everyday to work and it gives me the perfect summer glow.

MAC Illusionary/Burning Ambition MES: I loveeeee the white/gold colour in this duo. The brown is also AMAZING and incredibly pigmented. If I were to recommend one Mineralize Eyeshadow Duo this would be it! For all you ladies who love your neutral/brown colours I would definitely recommend this! This is a no-brainer when it comes to doing my makeup in the morning.

MAC Splashing Lipglass: Perfect summer lip. It is really flattering on my skintone even when I'm on the lighter side (Nc25). This colour also makes my teeth look even whiter than they are, which is another plus.

MAC 131 Brush: I wanted this to use with my Mineralized Skinfinishes and powder highlights and it is the perfect brush for both kinds of products. My HG highlighter brush! Grabs the perfect amount of product because of the duo fibre and distributes it beautifully.

Sephora Brow Brush: I use the bristle side to comb through my eyebrows after I've applied my MUFE Eyebrow Corrector which makes them look really groomed and in place. I also LOVE the eyelash separator comb on the other side because it is made of metal and really seperates clumpy lashes.
