NOTD: Eyeko Chi Chi Polish "For Girlie Nails"

I normally wouldn’t gravitate towards purchasing a nail polish like this on my own. I don’t care for super glittery nails and I like the look of cream finishes best. However, I actually liked how it looked on my nails! I had to apply about 4 coats (which is a little excessive) to get the opacity I wanted, but after the 4th coat it started to look pretty good. I had to wait a bit longer for this particular polish to dry because the first time I put it on and let it set the usual amount of time, a couple nails on my right hand smudged. As for removal, I found that it wasn't hard to remove at all. In fact, the polish came off in chunks (not what I wanted). After a day I lost the polish on two whole nails because it just peeled off. Very disappointing because I did like the end result, but don't like having to apply polish every single day.

Unfortunately my past two experiences with Eyeko polish have been disappointing, but I have liked many of their other polishes/formulas. A nice thing about Eyeko is that they have a great range of colours in really cute packaging for a reasonable price. You can visit their site here.

MAC Venomous Villains Purchases!

Just got home from work at 3:30 am to find that MAC has released the much anticipated Venomous Villains collection! I was so pumped I started loading up my cart and then the site kept crashing. I ended up sticking to the list I had finalized a few days ago in preparation for the launch, however, even though I got everything I REALLY REALLY wanted... I can't help but feel I'm missing out on something...

Here's what I got. Can't wait to get this in the mail. I'm sure it will come by the end of the week so I'll have my haul up this weekend!

Revenge is Sweet Lipglass
Strange Potion Lipglass
Devilishly Stylish Lipglass
Innocence, Beware! Lipstick
Briar Rose Beauty Powder
Oh So Fair Beauty Powder
Her Own Devices Beauty Powder

I'm thinking about getting one of the magically cool liquid powders, but they are really pricey and gimmicky I think so I may just pass altogether. I also think I may want Bite of An Apple Blush, but I doubt I'd wear it that much...everything I got I will for sure wear. What did you end up ordering?

FOTD: UFC Fight Night

Gina Carano

Last night I went out to Boston Pizza with Charles for UFC 119. I’m a big UFC fan and so is Charles so it’s kinda “our thing” to watch the fights together when they are on. One of the waitresses complimented me on my makeup (which always feels good) so I decided to take some pictures when I got home of what I was wearing. Gina Carano is a gorgeous fighter in womans MMA so I was inspired to take some picks with my fighting gloves on… haha

Halloween How To: Snooki from Jersey Shore!

A couple weekends ago I attended a "Jersey Shore" themed party. I'm a sucker for themed parties. I love dressing all crazy and going all out with makeup, hair...etc. I wasn't planning on making a post about this, but since Halloween is coming up, I thought it might give some people an idea of how to dress like Snooki for Halloween. Here are some tips on how to get the "Snooki" look. Hope you enjoy! It was really fun to do :)

Note: I forgot all hair products at home or else I was going to do the signature "Snooki" poof. I remember seeing a picture of her with this "Faith" hat I already had so I decided to just throw that on. I also forgot all my makeup brushes so this look was achieved with ONLY my fingers! I personally think it added to the look I was going for...haha

#1 - Makeup musts include dark eyeshadow/eyeliner and nude lips
#2 - Large hoop earrings
(bejeweled sunglasses, or white sunglasses are a must)

#3 - A tight outfit with lots of cleavage. Ripped white jeans I thought were appropriate for the occasion.
Anything "Ed Hardy" is also an excellent option.
Not sure why I decided to pose with a gun
. Random prop I guess.

#4 - A Juiced Guido

#5 - A Killer Tan (4 coats of self tanner to be exact. Didn't wash it off, just left the house with the colour guide on!)
#6 - Grey Goose Vodka

#7 - Hot pink nails
#8 - Fist pumping

This post was just for fun, hope you enjoy! Have you decided what you are going to be for Halloween this year? I already have my outfit ready! Here's a clue to what I'm being: it's based on a VERY popular movie that came out this past year!

Cherry Culture Haul

I haven't bought much from Cherry Culture lately so when I saw they were having a Back To School 20% off sale I decided to pick up a few things. The one thing I don't like about Cherry Culture is that I find they are out of stock on a lot of products I want and then they never seem to restock them or it takes a ridiculous amount of time to restock. I hauled a bunch of Sinful Colors nail polishes as well as a few NYX items I've been meaning to try. I will have lots of NOTDs in the future and probably some reviews on a few of the items I picked up so make sure to check back if you're interested! Here are the goods:

Left to Right: #805 California, #809 Vacation Time, #813 What's Your Name, #814 Forget Now

From Left to Right: #816 Lying Nails, #854 Boogie Nights, #931 See You Soon, #945 Soul Mate

NYX Concealer in a Jar in "Beige"

NYX Concealer in a Jar in "Yellow"
(Yellow is suppose to be good at concealing under eye circles)

NYX Concealer in a Jar in "Green"
(Good for concealing red pigmentation, like in pimples)

NYX Lip Laquer Pot in "Georgia Peach"

I was expecting this to be more peach. This would look good over a lipstick, but I didn't care for it on it's own.

NYX Powder Blush in "Angel"
(I heard it was similar to MAC's Well Dressed which I've been meaning to try)

NYX Rouge Cream Blush in "Rose Petal"
(I wasn't expecting it to be so creamy. You need a very small amount of pressure to get product with these)

Angel and Rose Petal

NOTD: Eyeko "Punk Polish" for Neon Nails

I received Eyeko "Punk Polish" for Neon Nails in the mail a couple weeks ago and I've used it a couple times. The first time I used it is shown in the first picture, with Seche Vite as a top coat. The second time I used it it bubbled up on my nails. I had Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails Platinum on as a base coat and I decided just to quickly paint over it because I wanted really bright nails for the Jersey Shore themed party I'm going to tonight and I think it reacted weirdly to it. Has anything like this happened with your Eyeko polishes? I have a good amount of Eyeko products and they have never done anything like this.

MAC Viva Glam Cyndi & Lady Gaga Lipglass Swatches

I picked up the MAC Viva Glam Cyndi and Lady Gaga lipglasses the day they came out because all proceeds go to charity, I love MAC and I love this campaign featuring these two wonderful ladies. I really liked both of the lipsticks that were released prior to these glosses (click here to see swatches) so I was really excited for the release of the corresponding lipglasses. I loved Cyndi lipstick and the lipglass is no exception. At the moment, Gaga looks a bit unflattering with my skintone so I haven't used it.

One of my fave things to do is just get into my comfy clothes and watch movies. This is our last boyfriend/girlfriend anniversary we get to celebrate! Hope you all have a great Labor Day!
