What's In My Purse?

Hey Guys!
I did one of these posts awhile back and decided to update it. As you know, I purchased my first Louis Vuitton a couple weekends ago and I'm soooo excited! I decided to get the Monogram Speedy 35 because it's a classic and will never go out of style IMO. Here is what you can find in my purse on a daily basis!

Notice how everything is black? You can see the trend here. I never planned it it's just coincidental. I'll probably be switching out my wallet soon anyways as I've been looking into getting a Michael Kors Wallet. Initially I wanted an LV multicolore wallet to go with my purse, but it's a little out of my price range at the moment.

MK wallet I want

MAC Small Nylon Makeup Bag, ALDO Quilted Black Wallet, BlackBerry Curve, IPOD Touch, Chanel Sunglasses, Keys for LV Lock, H&M Leather Gloves

And yes, I did splurge and ended up getting the Chanel sunglasses I wanted. ♥

Inside my MAC Nylon Bag is where I keep all my small items and makeup. Intially I bought this just for my makeup, but with my LV there are basically no little compartments I can store my gum, hand sanitizer...etc.

The only makeup I keep regularly in my purse are my MAC blot powder, lipstick and lipgloss. Currently I've been using MAC Jazzed Lipstick with MAC Boy Bait Cremesheen Lipgloss over top. I also have Blistex Lip Medix (which is the ONLY lipchap I actually repairs chapped lips, it doesn't just lock in moisture). I have a rollerball version of Viva La Juicy, Tide-t0-go pen (I love this thing because I tend to attract stains), Eye drops (because I have really dry eyes from contact lens wearing), Sigma Retractable Kabuki, Gum, Bath and Body Works Hand Sanitizer.

FOTD: Quick Neutral Everyday Look

Here is a quick FOTD I did yesterday. It was such a dreary day, the sun wasn't out so I couldn't get decent makeup pictures. I prefer to take my pictures in natural light, but my camera just wasn't working for me. With that said, it looked MUCH better in person. I actually really liked the eyeshadow combo I did and will likely be wearing this as one of my go-to daily work combos.

Revlon Photo Ready Foundation in Nude
MAC Blot Powder in Medium/Dark

HAUL: Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Guess, Sephora...

Hey guys!
Yesterday I went to Toronto with Charles and did some much anticipated shopping. Our main goal of the day was to go to the place Charles bought my engagement ring from and pick out our wedding bands. We successfully found wedding bands we both love, but are waiting to purchase them as it will take a couple weeks to custom make them. Mine looks basically like my engagement ring, minus the center stone (i.e., diamonds along the band...very classic).

I saved my money for this trip because I wanted to buy some Chanel sunglasses and a Louis Vuitton bag. I have NEVER bought anything from Chanel or Louis Vuitton. I have never even set foot in any store of that caliber so I was extremely excited to go shopping in Yorkville/Bloor area of Toronto. Unfortunately once I got to Chanel, I couldn't justify spending $675 on the Chanel sunglasses that I liked, so I will have to wait purchases some sunglasses later. My budget for sunglasses was $400 tops. They do have sunglasses in that price range, but I always found something about them that I didn't quite like. The $675 ones are beautiful...the style number 5132H and they have pearls on each of the sides with "Chanel" printed along the side as well. I wanted the black framed ones with the grey fade throughout the lens. I really want them *sigh*... I ended up getting my Louis Vuitton bag at the LV store inside Holt Renfrew. I've never been to a Holt Renfrew and as soon as I walked in I felt like I didn't belong. Everyone looked like they had a ton of money and did this everyday, whereas I probably will never buy another LV bag as long as I live haha. One lady even had a purse puppy and she bumped into Charles and did this snotty look and little hand gesture/wave to apologize instead of actually saying sorry... I hate rude people. Even with that I had an amazing experience and such an awesome day shopping with Charles. I ended up meeting up with my brother and his fiance and taking them out to lunch which was really fun.

Here are some pictures I took! Now that I have a really nice purse I want to do an updated "What's in my purse" post.
Louis Vuitton: My brand new Louis Vuitton Monogram Speedy 35 ♥

Chanel: Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel "Bronze Universel"
(I loveee this stuff and it smells so good!)

Guess: Bracelet watch

Lush: Lip Scrub in "Bubblegum" and Seanik Shampoo Bar
(I've never used a lip scrub before which is weird because my lips always get flaky. This stuff is AMAZING at de-flaking your lips and making them incredibly smooth. Also, you can lick your lips after using this and it tastes sooo good! It is basically just sugar so you can easily make this at home. This is my second Seanik Shampoo Bar and it leaves my hair so shiny and full of body. My favourite shampoo EVER)

Bath and Body Works: I picked up a few hand sanitizers to put in my purse and to bring in my lunch bag at work.

Sephora: I had a 20% coupon to Sephora which, obviously, I HAD to use...LOL I picked up a backup of Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide On Pencil in "Zero"(this is my favourite eye pencil EVER) and a bottle of Versace Bright Crystal perfume. I needed a new perfume and was debating between picking up this or Chanel Chance eau Fraiche, and decided to get the Versace one. I was currently using Givenchy Hot Couture and Juicy Viva La Juicy.

Victoria's Secret: The Eaton Centre just got a Victoria's Secret! I've never been to VS (as they aren't readily available in Canada) and I absolutely LOVE their bras! They are extremely comfortable and flattering. The best fitting bras I have ever had.

Forever 21: I actually didn't get this at the F21 store in Toronto, I ordered it online. The F21 store was soooo busy that I just did a quick walk through, said forget it, and left. I was sad cuz this is obviously one of my fave stores :(Anyways, I thought this would be a cute dress for New Years Eve...unfortunately, it barely covers my bottom so I have to wear leggings when I wear this *sigh*

I also got some new Lululemon yoga pants and sweater, a long sleeve plain black shirt and socks from H&M. All of these are for work, so I didn't bother featuring them, but they are in the bags in the first picture.

Ugg Black Boots
Forever 21 Black Leggings
H&M Long Sweater Dress
Forever 21 Black & Gold Belt
House of Harlow Black Resin 14k Gold Necklace
American Eagle Aviators

Forever 21 Cream Trench Coat

Going to Toronto: You couldn't even see the CN tower because it was EXTREMELY foggy

Wedding Update: Honeymoon location is...

Charles and I will be spending our honeymoon in...

Charles and I have been thinking of places to spend our honeymoon. Initially we were thinking Hawaii, but then Charles mentioned to me that he would love to go to Greece, which reminded me of Santorini which I have wanted to travel to since my professor in first year university showed our lecture hall photos from her archeological dig! It apparently has the most beautiful sunsets in the world AND it is actually a Caldera (crater), an ancient rim of a still active volcano! The volcano part is submerged underwater... how cool is that?

FOTD: Fall inspired look using MAC Dark Deed lipstick

I used the "colour accent" feature on my camera which pulled out all the reds

I've been so boring with my makeup lately... I haven't been buying much and I haven't been getting much use out of my collection. I've been stuck in a rut doing the same things day in and day out. Is it bad that I don't feel like buying more makeup?! What happened to me... :( I'm sure I'll get the makeup bug back soon.

October Favourites!

Hey Guys!
This month I haven't purchased too many new items. Currently, I'm saving my money for a shopping trip I will be taking a week from today. I can't wait to show you my purchases... I'm really excited! I have a couple items in mind that I would like to pick up, but it's going to be a surprise :) With that said, I don't have that many favourites for this month as I have been quite good about my spending.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro Nail Polish in "Midnight Blue" and "Base and Top Coat": I picked up several shades from Rimmel's Lasting Finish Nail Polish line after reading Natty's post about the shade "Posh Pink". I needed a base coat, and I've been wanting a blue polish for the fall and I feel in love with the shade "Midnight Blue". The majority of the days this month my nails have been "Midnight Blue" with Rimmel Base Coat and Seche Vite top coat. Let me just say that the polish lasts longer than any of my OPI, Essie...etc...etc. polishes have ever lasted without chipping or peeling. I actually have to remove the colour because I was bored of it, instead of removing it because it starting chipping! "Midnight Blue" is a really dark blue with shimmer. It shows up much darker on my nails than it looks in the bottle, but it still is very pretty.

MAC High Tea Lipstick: I can't believe I haven't purchased this sooner. I've always overlooked High Tea as I thought it would just be another neutral that I really didn't need to buy, but boy was I mistaken. This is one of my favourite, if not my favourite, lipstick EVER! It is very flattering on my NC25/30 skin tone and lasts a long time on my lips. If you want to see the colour swatched on my lips, click here.

MAC Dark Deed Lipstick: This is my go-to fall shade. I feel very adventurous and sexy when I wear this. It's a dark red, burgundy colour, different from everything I own. I'm currently working on a blog post featuring this lip stick (I took the pictures early October), but haven't got around to posting it yet. It should be up within the next week, if not later this weekend!

MAC Eyeshadows in "Honey Lust", "Cork", "Grain", "Folie": I've been using all four of these eyeshadows almost every day for the month of October. I love using Cork eyeshadow for my eyebrows as it isn't so harsh looking and noticeable that I fill in my eyebrows. "Honey Lust" is a colour I've been meaning to pick up for some time now and finally got around to it. Everytime I was at the MAC counter I would swatch some eyeshadows and I would always been drawn to picking up Honey Lust. "Grain" and "Folie" has been my go to eyeshadow combination. I put "Grain" all over my lid (which is a beautiful all over lid colour), with "Folie" in the crease (which is a reddish brown which makes my green eyes pop), and VOILA! So simple. These four have definitely become staples in my MAC palette collection.

Halloween 2010!

Happy Belated Halloween! On Saturday I went out to a friend's Stag and Doe and then hit up the bar afterward with some friends. As you may already know, I decided to be an Avatar and I quite like how the costume and makeup came out! This was my favourite costume EVER and I had so many compliments when I was out on the town. Hope you all had a safe and Happy Halloween! What did you dress up as this year?
