REVIEW: Wet N' Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palettes #736, #737, #738

Hey Guys!
I was just in the states yesterday and I picked up a few things from Walmart that I haven't been able to find here in Canada. I ended up getting 3 of the Wet N' Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palettes, Maybelline Define-a-Brow Eyebrow Pencil, and Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup. I also picked up a TON of different kinds of cereal. The states has the most delicious kinds...like Cocoa Pebbles! LOL It's probably the worst cereal for me, but it's my favourite and I only get it once in a blue moon. When Cocoa Pebbles was in Canada they were actual pebbles. I remember biting into them and cutting my gums...maybe that's why they are flakes now. haha

Review: I think these are great drugstore palettes. I picked up each palette for $4.68 US. These would be great for beginners or people who aren't sure where to place colours on the eye. They have 4 different formulas to create four different looks depending on your mood: Sweet, Flirty, Dramatic, and Wild Look. There are a variety of colours which means you can create a variety of looks appropriate for day or night. The formula is very silky to the touch and VERY pigmented. These are supposedly an all-day, crease-resistant formula so I will be putting to the test over the next couple of weeks. So far I'm impressed with the quality of these drugstore eyeshadows. My favourite palette is "Blue Had Me At Hello".

  1. I love the look of Comfort Zone...I have to keep an eye out for it!

However, Wet n Wild products are SO fragile - I've only owned 2 of their products (a blush and an eyeshadow trio)...and they've both shattered into smithereens!

  5. I've been looking for a good smokey eye palette! I think i'll get the purple/black one.

You should try out the Elf beauty Books! They work really good & they're originally $5 - but I got mine on sale at Target for $3.50 and it has 12 eyeshadows, eyeliner, and an applicator. It also has directions on where to put what color where :)

  7. Cheryl!! Maybelline's define a brow is my favorite! But.. U probably won't end up liking it only because medium brown is NOT YOUR COLOR & has a reddish tinge to it. DARK BROWN IS YOUR COLOR. It is not too dark at all if that is your concern. It is more like what medium brown was supposed to be. Trust me :D xoxo jenna

  9. The pigmentation looks awesome! I want to try a couple of the trios - but I HATE the packaging! Of course that's how Wet n Wild is able to sell their cosmetics for so cheap.. but it's just so flimsy. I'm afraid the lid will break off or the shadows will shatter. I'll probably purchase a few anyway.

  11. Hi Cheryl!

I'm happy to tell you that those Wet 'n' Wild Palettes are actually being sold at Zellers! They are a bit more pricey though..that's what we get for living in Canada I guess lol.

I'd love to get your feedback on my blog :). Drop by!
