REVIEW: Foxy Locks Deluxe Clip-in Hair Extensions

Hey Guys!
This is a post I've been looking forward to sharing with you from the moment I received my Deluxe set of Foxy Locks Hair Extensions in the mail last week!

Foxy Locks Hair Extensions is  company founded by the beautiful and talented, Imogen. Imogen posts YouTube videos on how to put in and style your own set of Foxy Locks Extensions. You can also follow her on Twitter where she is quick to respond to any question or comment you may have.

The blonde bombshell herself, Imogen!

I have never used extensions prior to Foxy Locks so I did not know how to secure or take care of the wefts (sections of hair). In order to put them in properly, since I had little knowledge, I decided to watch Imogen's video on "How to Clip in you Foxy Locks". The entire process took about 5-10 minutes the first time and was very straightforward. Once I had ALL the wefts secure in my hair I ran my Misikko hair straightener (review here) through my entire head to make sure everything was blended together and natural looking. I was quite surprised by how good the colour match was  my own hair. Imogen and I ended up deciding, through pictures of my own hair, that my colour match was 1B - Off Black. The extensions blended in with my hair EXTREMELY well with my long layers that my best friends AND mother couldn't tell I was wearing extensions until I mentioned "Look at the length of my hair!". It helps that the hair itself isn't just one flat colour, it has dimensional highlights mimicking that of my own hair! The ends are also cut in such a way that it looks extremely natural, not blunt and noticeable. The hair is shiny, but not overly so so that it stands out. These hair extensions are honestly a PERFECT match for my hair, its unbelievable.

 Hair extends to my waist!

As for the quality of the hair, you get 160 grams of 100% remy human hair. The clips are heavy duty and secure and don't hurt my scalp when fastened to the hair shaft. You get so much hair in the package of Deluxe extensions that I found I don't really need to use all the pieces, I just did for review purposes.

Like any hair extensions, proper care is needed to ensure quality and longevity. The hair came in a resealable plastic sleeve which I always use to store my hair when not in use. Before using any hot tool I make sure to spray my Tresemme Heat Tamer in order to protect agaisnt heat/styling damage. I also make sure to brush through the individual wefts before and after use to keep them tangle free.

I have yet to try curling my extensions, but Imogen recommended that I wash the extensions once prior to curling in order for the extensions to hold the curl better. If you would like to see how these extensions look curled, make sure you check out Natty's review here! I've been wearing these on weekends and absolutely LOVE them! I can't say enough good things about this brand of hair extensions. These retail for 74 pounds, or $118 CAD. If you are interested in checking out the brand, and want to know more about Foxy Locks, you can do so by visiting the Foxy Locks website!

Flash makes me look like a Cullen, but you can see that the hair shines like my natural hair!

  1. Oh wow, that seriously looks so natural, you definitely can't tell it's not your hair. I've tried clip in extensions before but the clips always hurt my hair, or were too loose so I'm tempted to check out these Foxy Locks, and hope they ship to Australia!

  3. Looks great! Kind of makes me want to start wearing extensions again, but I got so use to seeing myself with them...that I started to really hate my own hair! It's pretty thin, but I'm pretty content with it now.
