MAC Bloggers' Obsessions Haul + Swatches

Sparkle Neely, Sparkle!, Hocus Pocus, Parisian Skies

Hey Guys!
I picked up 3/4 of the MAC Bloggers' Obsessions eyeshadows the day they were released. I wanted to get all four just to complete the collection, but Jealousy Waves was sold out when I got around to purchasing these. Oh well. It makes me feel better when I tell myself I don't wear green eyeshadows anyways. haha. The lipglasses didn't interest me. The eyeshadows themselves are very soft to the touch and highly pigmented. Sparkle Neely, Sparkle! has a velvet finish, whereas Hocus Pocus and Parisian Skies are Satins.

From Left to Right: Parisian Skies, Hocus Pocus, Sparkle Neely, Sparkle!

Did you end up picking anything up from this collection?
I loveeee LE eyeshadows!

FOTD: Potential Wedding Look #1

Hey Guys!
As you know, I plan on doing my own makeup for my wedding. Currently I have no idea what colours I want to use. I know typically people wear a little bit more makeup on their wedding day because of the amount of photos that are being taken. I'm trying to find a good balance between looking good in photos and looking good in person. I will be taking photos outside as well as indoors with flash so I want to make sure my makeup looks flawless in both settings. Charles also prefers a more natural looking face, minimal eyeshadow, no false eyelashes so I'm trying to please him as well. I probably will end up wearing individual lashes or a half strip because I find lashes complete a look. I'll just have to make sure I won't wear my drag queen eyelashes so he won't be able to tell haha. This look is a pink bridal look. I plan on doing a more peach one later. I would like to do a few of these and maybe at the end I can put up a poll and see which one you guys like best!?

REVIEW: Wet N' Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palettes #736, #737, #738

Hey Guys!
I was just in the states yesterday and I picked up a few things from Walmart that I haven't been able to find here in Canada. I ended up getting 3 of the Wet N' Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palettes, Maybelline Define-a-Brow Eyebrow Pencil, and Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup. I also picked up a TON of different kinds of cereal. The states has the most delicious Cocoa Pebbles! LOL It's probably the worst cereal for me, but it's my favourite and I only get it once in a blue moon. When Cocoa Pebbles was in Canada they were actual pebbles. I remember biting into them and cutting my gums...maybe that's why they are flakes now. haha

Review: I think these are great drugstore palettes. I picked up each palette for $4.68 US. These would be great for beginners or people who aren't sure where to place colours on the eye. They have 4 different formulas to create four different looks depending on your mood: Sweet, Flirty, Dramatic, and Wild Look. There are a variety of colours which means you can create a variety of looks appropriate for day or night. The formula is very silky to the touch and VERY pigmented. These are supposedly an all-day, crease-resistant formula so I will be putting to the test over the next couple of weeks. So far I'm impressed with the quality of these drugstore eyeshadows. My favourite palette is "Blue Had Me At Hello".

REVIEW: YSL Rouge Volupte #30 Faubourg Peach

Hey Guys!
While in Vegas I decided to pick up my very first YSL Rouge Volupte. I was debating between either getting Tender Peach, Peach Passion, or Faubourg Peach and decided on the later. Probably my favourite MAC lipstick is "Jazzed" and unfortunately, it is limited edition. Faubourg Peach is in the same family, but doesn't quite dupe "Jazzed". Below, I show a comparison between MAC Ever Hip, Faubourg Peach and Jazzed.

MAC Ever Hip (LE), YSL #30 Faubourg Peach, MAC Jazzed (LE)

The colour is opaque and buttery smooth. Because it is so cremey and moisturizing, this isn't long wearing. This is just one swipe of the tube.

What are some of your favourite YSL Rouge Voluptes? I definitely want to pick up a couple more because the formula is beautiful and the packaging is gorgeous!

My Bachelorette in Vegas! [[PIC HEAVY]]

Hey Guys!
I'm back! Just wanted to give you a little taste, through pictures, of how my trip was in Vegas . We had the time of our lives and are already planning another trip the same time next year! I went the week before Memorial Weekend and it got pretty crazy closer to the weekend. Our plane flew out Saturday so we only had a little taste of the weekend life in Vegas, but it was so much fun regardless. I have a ton of pictures and want to post them all, but here are a select few... hope you enjoy and a BIG thank you to all of you who gave me recommendations on where to go in Vegas (it definitely made my trip run much more smoothly knowing all the hot spots).

Over the 4 days we walked the strip, visited the Vegas sign and went into a bunch of the major Casino Resorts along the strip. We tried to get all the touristy stuff done on day 1, but ended up finishing it up on our last day. We went to a bunch of clubs at night and laid out by the pool during the day. We rented a day bed at Caesars during the day on Thursday. We hit up Ghostbar, Playboy, PURE, and VooDoo over the course of the 4 days. I really loved Ghostbar and PURE the best (I loved the views and music). We wanted to go to Marquee and XS because those were a couple of the best clubs, but didn't end up making it because we were having too much fun everywhere else. I loved not having to pay cover anywhere and bypassing the lines. I did a little bit of shopping at Fashion Show and I must say, the Forever21 in that mall was ridiculous. I could have spent an entire day in that store and still wouldn't have seen everything. I actually didn't buy anything there because I was too overwhelmed haha.

We had two rooms, here is one of the bathrooms!

View from one of our rooms on the 20th floor to the pool area

They had a delicious french bistro called "Payard" where I purchased a LOT of food from. They had really good yogurt parfaits, berries, crepes, croissants...etc.

Getting a little sun.

By the pool. We ended up renting a day bed on the Thursday because it was quite busy on the lounges.

Caesars Robes!

Climbing on statues in the middle of the night...LOL

The sun was rising every morning as we strolled home back to our hotel.

This is my fave pic. For some reason there was a Big Bird by the Vegas sign.
He looks lost/drunk and definitely out of place.

...and it wouldn't be a proper trip in Vegas without getting a little ink! I had "MMXI" which is 2011 tattooed on my foot.

Overall the weather was perfect, the food was amazing and Caesars Palace was a dream to stay at. I also found everyone I ran into in Vegas was super friendly...definitely the friendliest place I've ever traveled to.
