My WEDDING is TOMORROW!!!!

Hey Guys!
I just wanted to say a big thank you to all my followers. You guys have been so patient with me and the fact that I've been a terrible blogger the past few months. I can't begin to explain how excited and relieved that my wedding day is almost here! I'm VERY impatient and this week has been dragging for me. I have tons of ideas for posts (and videos!) planned once I return from my honeymoon and am settled in. I can't wait to share with you my special day. You will probably get sick of all the post-wedding/honeymoon blog posts I will be doing LOL

You can look forward to:
  • What's in my Purse? Wedding Day Edition!
  • Wedding Day Photos
  • Honeymoon Photos
  • FOTDs/OOTDs from the Wedding, Greece...etc.
I will be snapping some wedding day photos and posting them to my twitter account for my followers :) If you are not following me on twitter yet, you can do so by clicking here,@MakeupByCherylH

MAC Ravishing Lipstick Swatches

MAC "Ravishing" Lipstick

Hey Guys!
I "back-to-mac'd" for MAC Ravishing lipstick a couple weeks ago and thought I'd share with you some swatches. Ravishing is a light-peachy coral and comes in one of my favourite finishes, cremesheen. I'm automatically drawn to both peach and coral shades of lipsticks because I find these best compliment my skintone and Ravishing is the best of both worlds. The colour is not too bright and works when I'm my natural skintone (NC25), but also when I'm tan (NC30/40). By the photo below, it reminds me of Ever Hip the most. I will have a photo up of Ravishing in comparison to other peaches and corals in my collection (i.e., Jazzed, Shy Girl, Ever Hip...etc) so that you can see the difference. However, my camera is currently packed away in my suitcase as I am leaving tomorrow to my hometown in preparation for my wedding day this Saturday!

Have you tried MAC Ravishing?

REVIEW: Eylure "Naturalites" Eyelashes #107

Hey Guys!
I've been going out a lot this past week because all my friends seem to have July Birthdays LOL. Anyways, I've been getting a lot of use out of my false lashes since I typically only wear a full strip at night as I find it is too much for day time wear. I use a variety of lashes, Ardell, ELF, Dollerstore, MAC, Make Up For Ever...etc. and I was just recently introduced to the brand "Eylure". Eylure is from the UK and makes a wide variety of strip lashes, even ones designed "Sex in the City" lashes. I have three pairs ranging from natural, evening, to dramatic lashes. I chose to wear the #107 "evening" lashes for one of my BFFs bdays this past Tuesday. Unfortunately, this brand is not available in Canada, but to all my UK and US followers you should definitely go check this brand out! They are great quality, reusable, lightweight and contact lens friendly.

NOTD: OPI Miss Universe "It's My Year"

OPI "It's My Year"

Hey Guys!
I was out shopping over the weekend and saw that OPI had the "Miss Universe" collection which I haven't seen or heard about yet. I ended up picking up two of the polishes. The first being, "It's My Year", which is a plum colour with gold shimmer throughout. It changes colour depending on the light and looks AMAZING in sunlight. If MAC Trax eyeshadow were a nail polish, it would look something like this. The formula is a little sheer, but goes on very smooth and even. I used 3 coats of polish to achieve proper opacity. The second polish I picked up from this collection is "Crown Me Already" which is a silver glitter and reminds me of a tiara. It was love at first site. LOL

FOTD: Potential Wedding Look #3

Hey Guys!
I was on YouTube looking up different makeup looks from several popular YouTubers and I came across Pixiwoos for a "Naturally Defined" Bridal look which I thought I'd try out. I didn't have any of the products used, but I made due with what I own and think the outcome is exactly what I'm looking for. I know Charles will be especially happy because it's not dramatic, but dramatic enough that it will show up beautifully in photos.

FOTD: Potential Wedding Look #2

Hey Guys!
Here is my second "Potential Wedding Look". I wanted to add a little more drama/colour and see how I liked it. It looked a lot better in person than in photographs and though I used a LOT of different eyeshadows, the colour was very subtle. I wore this eyeshadow combo to bottle wine and I also wore it the night of my Stag and Doe. My goal for the Stag and Doe was just to make everyone have a good time and not make profit so I gave out a lot of prizes and had cheap liquor. In the end, I had a blast and raised a few grand. Woo hoo!
